Routing

The routing report shows the daily distribution of new cases to the pathologists. It is installed in the histology lab as a dashboard, and also available to the rest of the staff on their desktop. It shows the workload being assigned to each staff prospectively and in real-time, without the need to count slides or trays. For sub-specialties with unpredictable daily volume (renal pathology, hematopathology), the weekly workload is tracked
The workload data is calculated prospectively using Code5, which is explained here.
The report has 3 tables and 1 line chart:
- Day: a table on the left edge used as a menu to select the routing date for the past 5 days
- Chart: displays the daily FTE workload assignment of each pathologist as Code5 in descending order to view the totals at a glance
- Summary: a table in the middle showing the total cases, specimens, slides, Code5 and FTE for each staff. To learn how to manage a data table, please refer to this tutorial page
- Details: a table at the bottom showing details of the cases assigned
Filters toolbar
The second toolbar on top of the screen below the main toolbar and above the charts allows you to filter the data by facility, specialty and sub-specialty. There is also 2 radio buttons to toggle between daily and weekly views.
